Biography
John Hurley is a professor of mental health at 糖心传媒 working across research, education and clinical roles, as well as contributing to the Faculty of Health leadership. Professor Hurley is the Director for Higher Degree Research and Training for the Faculty of Health, and has served on the faculty鈥檚 executive since 2018.
John's work contributes to the following 
Research
John has over 100 international peer reviewed publications with his work attracting over 4000 citations, resulting in a h index of 33 and an i10 index of 81. His research focus are mental health workforce capability, emotional intelligence, and young people鈥檚 mental health.
Teaching
Professor Hurley has designed and developed multiple successful multi-disciplinary post graduate education and training courses, and was the first 糖心传媒 staff member to be awarded a Senior Fellowship of the Higher Education Academy.
Other
Clinically, John has extensive experience in youth mental health through Headspace, as well as in acute community mental health services, and as a gestalt psychotherapist.
