Biography

Helen Walsh is the Associate Dean (Education) in the Faculty of Business, Law and Arts. As a teaching scholar, Helen鈥檚 primary focus is on providing a smooth transition experience for first-year students and a supportive and positive learning environment that fosters respectful relationships and promotes intellectual engagement. Helen has a Master of Laws from QUT and her research interests include legal education, family law and children鈥檚 law. Helen is a solicitor of the Supreme Court of New South Wales and, prior to her appointment at SCU, was employed in private practice in the Northern Rivers region working mainly in the area of family and criminal law.
