The SCU Property Services Team collaborate with a dedicated group of preferred suppliers and contractors for regular services and corrective maintenance across our campus locations. We work closely with our contracted partners to create individual agreements and to assist each supplier to adhere to compliance requirements and relevant terms and conditions.

If you are interested in being considered for our trades panel, please read the Trades Panel Prequalification and complete the Returnable Schedules Trades Panel Prequalification form and return it to propertyservices@scu.edu.au. Please note that submitting an expression of interest does not guarantee an offer; all submissions will go through the same tender process.

If your expression of interest is successful, our team will be in touch to step you through the process of registering your business, inducting your staff, and gaining access to our campus locations.

We take safety seriously

SCU is committed to ensuring our campus and site locations are safe, and that our students, staff, visitors, and contractors return home to their loved ones each day.  To assist us, you must ensure that all required safety documentation is provided to the Property Services Team prior to commencing works. This includes:

  • Safe Work Procedures (SWP) or Safe Work Method Statements (SWMS)
  • Risk Assessments (RA)
  • Pre-Start Meeting Records
  • Accreditation Certificates and | or Specific Trade Licences
  • High Risk Work Permits must be approved by the Property Services Team for all works associated with Working at Heights, Hot Works, Confined Spaces, Restricted Access (e.g., asbestos* areas), Mobile Lifts (Cranes), and Excavations.
  • Fire Impairment Requests must be submitted for any works that may generate heat, sparks, smoke, dust, fumes, mist, fog, or any other condition that could activate the fire detection or alarm system. All planned fire impairments must be submitted via the Fire Impairment Notice Form available through the Quick Links section at least 24 hours prior to the commencement of works. Failure to provide the required notice may result in approval being withheld and the works not being permitted to proceed. The 24-hour notice requirement may only be waived for urgent or emergency works, subject to approval by the University's authorised representative. Failure to submit and obtain approval for a Fire Impairment Request may result in the contractor being held liable for all associated costs arising from an unwanted fire alarm activation, including attendance and call-out charges, up to a maximum of $2,000.
