About the speakers

Kat Lee is the Team lead, Copyright and open licensing. She is an advocate for open education practices and copyright. In 2025 she coordinated the Open Education Resources Grant Program which helped SCU teaching staff replace commercial prescribed textbooks in their units with zero-cost learning resources. 

Cintsy Brown is the Librarian, Copyright and open licensing. She has supported the open education movement at SCU from the beginning and has worked on many open textbook projects including SCU's first open textbook: Case Studies for Health, Research and Practice in Australia and New Zealand.
